The Purpose of Redemption in Christ

The Divine Purpose of Redemption in Christ Jesus

Isaiah 45:18 declares: “For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens—He is God—who formed the earth and made it, He established it; He did not create it in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other.’”

God did not create the earth or humanity in vain. Yet, in Genesis 1:2, we read that “the earth was without form, and void.” This condition of chaos and emptiness was the result of the fall of Satan, when sin entered through Adam and disrupted the divine order. But God, rich in mercy, had a redemptive plan—fulfilled in Christ Jesus—to restore creation to its original purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:12–19 underscores this eternal hope: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” The Gospel is preached because it carries the power of Christ’s death and resurrection—God’s means of reconciling all things back to Himself. The strength of our faith lies in the reality and revelation of His resurrection. Without it, our faith is in vain; but because He lives, we live also (John 14:19).

Galatians 2:20 declares, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…” Though sin introduced death, God never created man for death. Through the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, humanity has been restored to divine order and purpose. To walk in this redemption, we must understand and proclaim our identity in Christ.

Declare These Truths in Faith:

  • I am crucified with Christ.
  • I am raised together with Him.
  • I am seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
  • Christ lives in me, and I live by faith in Him.

These declarations are not mere affirmations—they are powerful truths that enforce victory in spiritual warfare. When you boldly speak your identity in Christ, the forces of darkness recognize the authority of the One who lives in you.

Water baptism is the outward expression of this spiritual truth. When you go down into the water, you signify your death with Christ. When you rise, you testify of your resurrection with Him—walking now in newness of life (Romans 6:4).

Revelation 5:9–10 proclaims the scope of our redemption: “You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”

We have been:

  • Redeemed from poverty and every form of lack.
  • Redeemed from sin and corruption.
  • Redeemed to function as kings and priests unto God.
  • Redeemed from the power of darkness and demonic oppression.
  • Redeemed from every generational curse and bloodline limitation and curses

Romans 8:18–20 reveals that “creation itself waits in eager expectation for the revealing of the sons of God.” All of creation groans, longing for the fullness of the redemption that was initiated through Christ. God subjected creation to futility—not as an end, but in hope, knowing it would be liberated through the manifestation of the redeemed.

The greatest mystery and miracle in history is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the foundation of our faith, the seal of our redemption, and the anchor of our eternal hope.

Therefore, no demonic force has legal right over your life. You have been bought with a price—the blood of Jesus Christ. Walk in the authority of your redemption. Your time has come, and your season is now, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
