Faith, Thanksgiving, and the Sound of Abundance
“And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.”
— 1 Kings 18:44 (KJV)
Father, we thank You for the sound of abundance. Even before the skies open, we rejoice in the evidence of Your faithfulness. Just as Elijah discerned the sound of rain before a single drop fell, so we choose to believe before we see.
1. Faith Is Our Currency in the Kingdom
In the kingdom of God, we do not buy with money—we receive by faith. Many times, God does not give money for a thing; He brings the thing itself. If we only look to our bank accounts for the fulfillment of promises, we may unintentionally limit God.
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
— Mark 11:24 (KJV)
God did not promise to buy you things—He promised to give them. Faith is the receiving hand of the believer.
2. Thanksgiving: The Activator of Faith
Targeted thanksgiving is what sharpens your faith to produce results. It is the voice of faith, and the bridge between believing and receiving.
“We walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
Through intentional thanksgiving, we acknowledge God’s promises before they manifest. This is not mere positivity—this is prophetic agreement with God’s Word.
3. Faith Requires Boldness
Faith is not always logical. To walk by faith is to often appear irrational to the natural mind. It requires courage, obedience, and steadfastness.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
— Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
4. A Practical Faith Strategy: Walking It Out Daily
- List the things you are believing God for.
Writing them out brings clarity and focus to your faith. - Daily, give thanks for each item individually.
Let your mouth agree with your faith. - Do not set a timeline for the thanksgiving.
Stay in thanksgiving until you receive the manifestation. - As you receive, check them off and continue.
Celebrate testimonies as they come—each one is fuel for the next. - Start where your faith is.
Don’t attempt to fake faith. Begin at your current level and grow from there.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God…”
— Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
5. Faith Is Prophetic
There is nothing more prophetic than your faith. Faith sees ahead, speaks ahead, and receives ahead of time. Your faith is your manufacturing plant—capable of producing anything God has promised.
6. Your Mouth Matters
In the kingdom, we receive with the heart and declare with the mouth. Thanksgiving, confessions of faith, and prophetic declarations are how we buy without money (Isaiah 55:1).
“It is a risk not to take a risk.”
Refusing to walk by faith is the greatest risk a believer can take. Faith is your lifeline, your advantage, and your victory.
Final Prayer & Declaration
🛐 Father, thank You for the abundance You have prepared for me. I believe that what I desire is already mine according to Your Word. I receive with thanksgiving. I walk by faith and not by sight. I refuse to limit You by my expectations or my bank account. Strengthen my faith, Lord, and help me to remain rooted in Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
